Juniata RiverFest - Rocking by the River
On Saturday, July 3rd, the banks (and waters) of the Juniata River were rockin’ in rollin’ with all kinds of fes-tivities! Juniata RiverFEST, in it’s 5th year was another great success and most attended event yet!

The River Rampage 5k had 90 participants this year. This was double the amount from last year. Thank you to John Walters for organizing the 5k - what a great addition to the day it has been. Starting at 10am on the Juniata River, the community float had hundreds of canoes, kayakers, and tubers from the Granville Access to Victory Park. This year, the Raft Regatta had 33 teams entered in the “race.” Thank you so much to the WaterSide RV & Campground for allowing us to use their river access. It was a slow moving race this year with the first team not hitting Victory Park until after 2pm. See page 2 for a listing of Raft Award winners.

Even before the Regatta started, Victory Park was buzzing with the 30 plus vendors already setup and people were starting to filter through. Starting at noon, on the Victory Park stage “Rockin’ by the River” got rollin’. Ryan Russler had a full day lined up of great local music. The crowds came at noon and did not leave until after the fireworks. Clearly the highest attended RiverFEST yet! Thank you Ryan for all the hard work you do with the “Rockin’” part of everyone’s day. Also thank you to Mike Tate “G-Man” and Scott Shaw for emceeing the event on the stage.
